Winds of Change: Reimagining Public Service in the Blue Pacific Continent 

Hosted by the Fiji Public Service Commission, the theme of the 2025 Fono was Winds of Change: Reimagining Public Service in the Blue Pacific Continent. The theme reflected the importance of regional collaboration and ensuring Pacific contexts are at the heart of solutions to Pacific public sector challenges. The Fono brought the Pacific Public Service Leaders Group together to share experiences, strengthen opportunities for collaboration and build regional partnerships. 

The Fono 2025 programme featured working sessions on collective leadership in a Pacific context, including the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific; integrity and ethical leadership in public services; the role of digitisation and AI in enhancing public service delivery; strategic workforce planning; and engagement with regional development partners. Governance meetings regarding the strategic direction of the Public Service Fale were also held.
